Super Fun Weekend!
This past weekend our good friends Jenne and Jeremy invited us to their cabin in Spokane. It’s what Jenne calls “camping”. And let me tell you, it’s my kind of camping! No dirt, no bugs, no tents. We got to sleep in beds, cook on a real stove, campfire and smores, took showers in the morning, boating, swimming, it was SOOOOO great! I could seriously live there. The kids had such a blast. It was a fight to get them in the car Sunday afternoon. I took tons of pictures and unfortunately my boys are not very cooperative, so most of the photos I have are of Brynn. She doesn’t mind the photo shoots. We had so much fun! Thank you, thank you Kissell’s! Oh, and Jenne, we’re already packed for this weekend! LOL!

Brynn Graduated!
Brynn had her Preschool graduation last week. I can’t believe that she is going to be in Kindergarten next year. (people that see the size of her can’t believe it either :) I’m excited for it, but sad. She’s my baby, and my only girl. I’ve loved being home with her by herself this year. Girls are so much more fun! But I have to say, there may be some of you who don’t agree, (Mom), but girls are way harder! If she’s only four and this hard, I can’t imagine what the future will bring. I can only hope that she will be as perfect as I was… LOL!

Throw away your roller brushes!
This morning while I was downstairs making the kids lunches for school, unknown to me, Brynn had asked Nick to fix her hair. She got him some hiarspray, and instead of a comb or a normal brush she got out the rolling brush. I’m not sure if that’s the real name of them, but they’re those small circular brushes with all the bristles around them. (something I should have known a 10 year old boy could cause damage with) Nick sprayed her hair with a ton of hairspray and wound the brush up in her hair. Not knowing that if you wind hair up in that kind of a brush it’s pretty much impossible to ever get out! When he realized what he had done, he got out the detangler and tried to spray it loose. Danny was just getting ready to leave and walked upstairs to find Brynn crying with the brush totally raveled up in her hair. Thank goodness he was home! I was freaking out thinking that I was going to have to cut her hair. We tried unwinding it, pulling it, nothing worked. I even looked online to see if I could find any ideas. Nothing. That’s when MacGyver stepped in. (I have always called Danny, MacGyver, cause he can fix ANYTHING!) He got some pliers from the garage and told me to pull each bristle out. After about a half hour they were all removed, along with quite a bit of hair. But thank goodness I didn’t have to cut it! Check out the pictures.

Field Trip
I had the chance to go on a great field trip with Nick’s class a couple weeks ago. We went to Columbia Park to release baby salmon in the river. It was for 4th graders all over the Tri-Cities. There were 2,000 kids there. Crazy! The weather was horrible, but the field trip was great. Each child was able to release a salmon into the river and they had all kinds of different centers for the kids to visit. At each center they learned something different. Electricity, forest fires, swimming safety, hydroplane racing, all kinds of things. It was really pretty neat. Here is a picture of Nick’s class in front of a raceboat.

Great Job Nick!
Nick’s baseball team, the Milestones, are in 1st place this season and this afternoon they played another team that would determine whether they would stay in first place or move down to second. Thankfully they won. Well, not only did they win, but beat them by 10! Nick made an awesome catch during the game that awarded him with the game ball! Great job Nick!

Daddy Daughter Date
Last Friday Danny took Brynn on a daddy daughter date. He took her to the movies to see Hannah Montana. Brynn was soooo excited! She’s been begging me for weeks to take her to see it when it came out, so she could hardly wait to go. They went to the 11:45 showing. Since it was on a school day, they were the only ones in the whole theater! Brynn chose to sit at the very top. During the movie, Danny said that whenever Hannah would sing, Brynn got up and started singing and dancing. I wish I would have sent the camera, so I could have seen her!
Danny and I have been going on weekly dates for the past month or so and he told Brynn that we were going on one tonight. She asked him “when do I get to go on another date with Daddy?” Too cute!

Sun, I like you….
Brynn has always loved singing, but lately she has been making up her own songs. The other day, Skyler sat down with her and wrote down all the words to her newest creation. The words alone don’t do it justice. It is so much better to hear her sing it and see her facial expressions as she sings. It’s stinkin funny! Here it is, it’s called Sun, I love you….
“The sun’s shining in my eyes. I’m about to die to the ground. Baby, I like you, I’m about to die to the ground baby. That’s why I like you too. I wouldn’t like you so much. That’s why I like you so much. I love babies and I love turtles so much. Window shining in my eyes. That’s why sun shining in my eyes. Sun is shining in my eyes. That’s why I love turtles and you too.” :)
